We are delighted to invite you to our annual Spring Concert. The Franklinville Schwarzwald Männerchor (THE Philadelphia German Men’s Chorus) will be joined by the Damenchor Wald-Echo and guest instrumentalists, in a program that includes classical pieces by Mozart, Beethoven and Handel; German folk songs and drinking songs; songs celebrating the arrival of Spring; and also songs in English including the famous Drinking Song from the “Student Prince”; “I’ll See You Again” by Noel Coward, and a charming arrangement of an old railroad Work Song, “Drill Ye Tarriers, Drill!”. All of the pieces are sung in four-part harmony. The Männerchor and Damenchor will each sing several songs separately, and then join together for a grand finale of the two choruses. Jacqueline Smith leads this concert of folk, popular, and classical music. The concert takes place in the beautiful VE Club, nestled in over 60 acres of wooded Warminster. (130 Davisville Rd, Warminster, PA). After the concert, there will be music for dancing. Food and Drink are available for purchase, including a full bar. Not to miss!
